Turquoise Ridge - Pit Tire Technician

We are looking for a skilled Open Pit Tire Technician to join the Turquoise Ridge operations.

The position is based at Nevada Gold Mines
, part of Barrick Gold Investments.

• Maintain all tires on mine equipment, including passenger light vehicles and all off‑road vehicles
• Maintain correct air pressures and tread depths
• Inspect and remove worn or failed tires and install replacement tires
• Repair all repairable tires
• Complete routine maintenance activities to ensure availability and safe functioning of large mining and support equipment fleets
• Maintain shop areas, tools, and service vehicles to keep a clean and safe work environment
• Perform daily pre‑shift inspections and participate in hazard identification processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Two or more years of maintenance experience on mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics (required)
• Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision (required)
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people (required)
• Experience handling tires (preferred)
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions (required)
• Lift at least 50 lbs. (required)
• Proven safe work record with strong leadership and safety values (required)
• Willingness to be an initial team member in a fast‑paced environment and support safety, environmental, equipment protection, and production goals (required)
• Maintain high housekeeping standards (required)
• Good written and verbal communication skills (required)
