Custodian

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Charleston Peak Winery. As a Custodian, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our winery facilities, ensuring a pleasant environment for both staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing various areas of the winery, such as tasting rooms, restrooms, and common areas.

Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying management of any maintenance issues.

• Clean and sanitize designated areas of the winery premises, including but not limited to:
  • Tasting rooms
  • Restrooms
  • Offices
  • Common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed to maintain cleanliness.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are properly stocked and report any shortages to management.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Notify management of any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean and organized work environment.

• Proven experience as a custodian or similar role, preferably in a hospitality or winery setting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE, including but not limited to gloves and masks, when performing cleaning duties.
