The Client

The client is an established precious metals operation in the Western U.S. The site utilizes conventional processing methods and is focused on delivering safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production while maintaining strong environmental and operational standards.

What you will achieve in this role
  • Oversee daily operations of the processing facilities to ensure production and safety targets are achieved.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with site safety standards, training requirements, and environmental procedures.
  • Collaborate with site safety leadership to strengthen overall health and safety performance.
  • Train and mentor operators to ensure consistent operating practices and a strong team culture.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures and training materials to support workforce capability.
  • Plan and coordinate process, electrical, and maintenance activities to ensure appropriate resourcing and execution.
  • Schedule workforce coverage, training, and project activities.
  • Review daily operating practices and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and recovery.
  • Manage operating costs and identify opportunities to optimize performance and reduce expenses.
  • Monitor consumables and maintenance expenditures against budget targets and coordinate purchasing and inventory requirements.
  • Ensure operational reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time, including daily and weekly production reporting.
  • Provide regular written updates to site leadership regarding performance, recovery, and operational initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you must bring to this role
  • Minimum 5+ years of practical operations experience within a mineral processing or similar heavy industrial environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience leading and developing crews in a production setting.
  • Strong leadership capability with demonstrated success in achieving operational and safety goals.
  • Experience with leaching or metallurgical processing considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the ability to direct field work effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage systems, documentation, and reporting requirements efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a light vehicle in a remote site environment.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 25 pounds and working in outdoor conditions.
