About The JobCoeur Rochester is looking for Summer Students to work in varying departments during the summer of 2026. The position will start on or after June 1st and end on or before August 31st. The position is not to exceed 12 weeks.
The summer student will be placed in one of the following areas:
Crusher, Process, Warehouse, Mine Operations, Safety, and Lab
. The Summer Student will report directly to supervision within their assigned department and may be asked to assist in other departments as necessary. The Summer Student is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner:
- Specific job duties will be assigned as they relate to the department the student is assigned to, but can include the following:
- Clean up crusher area including hand shoveling, skid steer operation, compressed air, etc.
- Painting, fence building and maintenance, reclamation work, piping, running parts, stocking and inventory count
- Must be able to be trained in and able to operate light vehicles, and other equipment as necessary
- Assists with upkeep of department to maintain a safe working environment
- Other miscellaneous labor tasks as assigned
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be the family member of a current Coeur Rochester employee.
- Must be enrolled in or accepted to a post‑secondary school to begin in the Fall 2026.
- Work as a team member and communicate openly with others.
- Self‑directed and able to take leadership role on many projects.
- Willing to stop work for safety concerns and always abide by safety best practices, policies and procedures.
- Work will be indoor and outdoor in all types of weather.
- This position may require the individual to be exposed to chemicals, confined spaces, working from heights and in areas where hearing protection is recommended.
- Follow all procedures and safety measures to ensure safe production.
- Work in all conditions and environments, varying amount of time on the job is outdoors.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Able to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground daily, climb stairs regularly.
- Rate of pay $19.00 – $20.00
- Bus service from Lovelock & Fallon (if working 12‑hour shift), or Winnemucca
- Travel pay for those outside of bus service
