Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Production Technician II to perform complex assembly tasks and ensure accuracy and quality of electronic and mechanical assemblies. The role requires independent work, support to junior team members, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities- Assemble complex electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies according to detailed diagrams and drawings.
- Interpret and work from drawings, manuals, handbooks, and technical specifications.
- Terminate various coaxial, circular, and D‑type connectors in wire harnesses.
- Install and integrate wiring and termination in accordance with system requirements and IPC standards.
- Perform simple tests such as continuity checks.
- Work with printed circuit boards (PCB) and other assemblies following detailed instructions accurately and consistently.
- Use a variety of standard hand tools including crimpers and soldering irons.
- Inspect assembly work for self and other team members per appropriate standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to identify issues with new products and improve them.
- Perform assembly tasks, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Operate and maintain assembly tools and equipment, requiring hand/finger dexterity.
- Require vision abilities (close, distance, depth perception, color discrimination).
- Stand for extended periods during the work shift.
- Ability to sit for up to two hours at a time.
- Work in potentially hazardous or loud environments, following safety protocols.
- Travel may be required.
- For office roles, capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1+ year as a technician or in a related field.
- Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing principles.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production environment.
- Prior experience with electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Basic skills in hand tools, assembly, soldering, and connectors.
- Computer literate with experience in Windows and Office products.
- Ability to take instruction from and work side‑by‑side with more advanced technicians to learn new skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- PC J‑STD‑001 and 620 certifications.
- Experience with circuit card assembly (surface mount and through‑hole).
- Electronic component identification knowledge.
- OSHA 10‑Hour Training certification.
- Experience with PPE and maintaining a clean, 5S‑compliant work environment.
- Military electronic assembly background.
- Background in Aerospace and Defense or U.S. Military.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required for employment. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
