Production Supervisor
Responsibilities- Lead daily operations, managing production execution to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective output.
- Maintain capacity targets, consistently exceeding them with at least 120% readiness.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs such as throughput, yield, quality, labor efficiency, and on‑time delivery.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize workflow for maximum throughput.
- Collaborate with planning and engineering to align schedules and meet customer requirements.
- Supervise a team of 20+ employees, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle – hiring, onboarding, staffing, scheduling, training, and cross‑training.
- Coach and conduct performance management to build capability and address discipline when required.
- Drive engagement and morale through communication, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure employees are trained and certified to standard work, maintain skills matrices, and create development plans.
- Mentor team members and groom future leaders.
- Enforce safety policies and regulatory requirements, promoting a zero‑incident culture.
- Maintain product quality by addressing defects and driving root cause corrective actions.
- Support compliance activities across the work center.
- Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve flow.
- Utilize data‑driven decision‑making to enhance throughput and operational performance.
- Encourage employee problem‑solving and participation in improvement efforts.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or operations.
- Proven leadership in high‑volume environments.
- Experience with production scheduling and capacity planning.
- Strong decision‑making and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Experience in hiring, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
- Experience managing large‑scale product lines ($40MM+ revenue).
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations or engineering.
