Title: Production Floater
Employment Status: Temp to hire
Timings: Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM
Department: Production
Reports To: Department Supervisor
Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)
General AccountabilityUnder the general direction of the Department Supervisor, the Production Floater supports production operations by ensuring the smooth flow of parts through various manufacturing processes. This role involves identifying production priorities, building assemblies and sub-assemblies, and supporting production needs while maintaining flexibility to meet scheduling demands. Other related duties may be assigned as required.
Specific Responsibilities- Assemble parts to create complete units or sub-assemblies at a bench or workstation, including:
- Closures and guides
- Small valve assemblies
- Large valve assemblies
(May require the use of hand tools and small power tools.)
- Build pump flanges for small valve assembly and ensure availability for production.
- Assemble all support products, including ball valves and isolation couplings.
- Inspect components to verify proper fit and finish; report deviations from standards to a supervisor or manager.
- Maintain accurate daily production records and complete required documentation.
- Assist with TIG welding of sub-assemblies for large and small valve production.
- Accurately enter completed parts into the inventory system using a tablet and/or computer.
- Follow production schedules and remain aware of shifting priorities.
- Maintain tools and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and report any safety concerns promptly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to effectively use required tools.
- Ability to learn part names, part numbers, and assembly procedures efficiently.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and commitment to attendance.
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with others.
- Lift up to 70 lbs for large valve assembly and up to 50 lbs for small valve assembly.
- Push carts weighing up to 1,500 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods and work extended hours as needed.
