Charge Nurse - Nights

The Charge Nurse is primarily responsible for directing and coordinating the patient care activities on the Med‑Surg/ICU units. This includes assessing patient needs; and ensuring appropriate staffing and resources levels.

Full Time –Nights, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday alternating Sunday, Monday, Friday

• Possession of valid license to practice as a RN the State of NV is required
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification
• 5 years of experience in nursing with supervisory nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing principles and practices; hospital policies, procedures and routines; disease processes and treatment, including psychological, environmental and physical factors that influence a patient’s well-being.
• Working knowledge of the laws and regulations governing patient care and medical center operations.
• Ability to supervise the department in the provision of patient care; and provide excellent and courteous customer service and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to establish priorities in solving unusual medical and administrative problems
• Create a workplace environment where staff is working toward the same essential goals and strategies; provide 2‑way communication where ideas can be shared in a non‑punitive environment.
• Provide effective communication process between administration, management, and staff, i.e., staff meetings, communication books, communication boards.
