Registered NURSE, Float Pool, Per Diem Nights

Overview

This Float Pool Registered Nurse opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient flexible schedule. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care, communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment, perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision, participate in performance improvement and CQI activities, and must be willing to float to all units.

• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with other specialists as required and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations.
• Use triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning triage categories.
• Adequately assess and reassess pain; utilize appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families regarding pain management.

• Current NV nursing license.
• Current ACLS & BLS certificate.
• PALS certificate (to be obtained within six months of employment).
• At least two years of recent critical care or emergency department experience.
