Responsibilities
This per‑diem Emergency Department Registered Nurse position is a dual clinical and managerial role. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care, assists with staff hiring, and communicates with physicians, nurse managers, directors, and coworkers regarding changes in patient condition and diagnostic results. Rapid and accurate response to patient status changes is required.
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with other specialists as needed, and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
- Perform a head‑to‑toe assessment of all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations, with regular reassessments per policy.
- Adequately assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and educating patients and families about pain management.
- Apply the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning triage categories.

- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Current BCLS certification
- ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire
- PALS certification within six (6) months of hire
- ENPC and TNCC certifications are optional
