Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical‑surgical setting. Communicates with physicians, the Nurse Manager and co‑workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

• Assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and educating the patient and family regarding pain management.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medications, including psychotropic drugs, and their correct administration based on the patient’s age and clinical condition.
• Consult other departments as appropriate to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs.
• Under the direct supervision of an RN, perform nursing assessments on all patients of all ages and reassessments as per policy.

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Must have a current BLS certificate.
• Current IV certification required.
• Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in acute care.
