Registered NURSE, DSU, Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the DSU and PHA (preoperative holding area) environment. Communicate changes in patient’s clinical condition with physicians, nurse manager, director/co-workers.
• Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassess per policy, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations.
• Assess and manage pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and educating patients and families about pain management.
• Establish plan of care indicated by physician orders and condition.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity. Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs. Act as liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Interact professionally with patient/family, involve them in formation of the plan of care and discharge plan.

• Current Nevada Registered Nurse Licensure.
• Current ACLS & BLS certification.
