Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. The Clinic RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the care delivery team headed by the physician.

• Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
• Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition.
• Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
• Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
• Consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent or resolve problems or concerns.
• Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Documents patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
• Tracks quality assurance data and monitors for acute and chronic care management.

Assist with provider results, support lactation consultations, provide wound care services.

• RN experience preferred.
• IBCLC certification preferred and/or Wound care certification preferred.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).

• Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts.
• Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure, and functions; and community resources.
• Understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies.
• Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures.
• Effective communication with staff and patients.
• Sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
• Positive, caring attitude toward patients.
• Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.
• Critical thinking skills within scope of practice and population health management.
• Physical ability to see, read labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies.
• Interacts verbally with patients, providers, and visitors, requiring rapid comprehension of spoken information and alarms.
• Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment, frequent computer use, typing, medication preparation.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to heavy weights, bend, and transfer patients.
• Capacity to walk, assist with transporting/ambulating patients, push/pull gurneys and equipment.
• Stand in a stationary position for extended periods.

Hourly range: $29.91 – $45.33. The role offers a generous benefits package covering a wide range of wellness programs.
