Greenskeeper

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Greenskeeper to maintain and care for our golf course. The role involves a variety of tasks related to grass, plant, and turf management, ensuring the golf course is kept at the highest possible standard. Ideal candidates should possess a keen eye for detail, experience in greens keeping or landscaping, and a genuine passion for outdoor work. The purpose of being a Greenskeeper is to ensure that our golf course provides a beautiful and challenging environment for players.

• Previous experience in greens keeping or landscaping preferred
• Knowledge of turf management and golf course maintenance
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Work Environment: Outdoor setting with exposure to various weather conditions. Requires physical labor and operation of machinery.
• Reporting Structure: Reports to the Golf Course Director.
• Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

• Maintain the health and appearance of the golf course, including fairways, greens, and tee grounds
• Operate specialized turf maintenance equipment
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals responsibly and in accordance with safety procedures
• Perform aeration, seeding, and other turf improvement activities
• Repair turf damaged by weather or golfers
• Assist in the construction of new greens, tees, and fairways
• Maintain irrigation system and ensure proper watering of golf course
• Removal of debris and litter from the golf course
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations
