Mt. Grant General Hospital is accepting applications for the positions of per diem Prep/Relief Cook.

The per diem dietary works on a part-time basis and must be available to fill in for employees who are absent and work special events/projects. This position will be trained in the dietary aide, prep cook, and cook positions. Duties include preparing patient meal trays and special diet requirements, nourishment preparation, dishwashing, clean up and preparation of tray service for the next meal.

Applicant must have the ability to multitask, follow state and federal mandated regulations in regard to food preparation and storage, work well with the public and other staff members, as well as be organized and dependable. Per diem dietary aides start at $16.95/hr!

Minimum qualifications are any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and ability such as:

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Per NRS 449 and NRS 200, successful applicant(s) must pass required state and federal background checks.
• Food Handler’s Card is preferred
• Incumbent may be required to obtain Serv Safe Certification in the first 30 days of employment.
