Our client is an established gold producer operating a growing mining operation in northern Nevada, one of the world’s premier mining jurisdictions. With active exploration programs supporting both near‑mine resource growth and long‑term project development, they are seeking an Exploration Geologist for a 3‑month contract to support their exploration success.

This is an excellent opportunity for a geologist or experienced geological technician who enjoys hands‑on core logging, geological interpretation, and working closely with exploration teams.

• Log drill core to company standards, including lithology, mineralization, alteration, structure, recovery, and geotechnical characteristics.
• Select, mark, and manage sample intervals while ensuring adherence to QA/QC and sampling protocols.
• Collect, label, package, and track samples for laboratory submission while maintaining chain‑of‑custody procedures.
• Maintain accurate digital and physical geological records, including logging databases, sample sheets, and photo documentation.
• Capture and organize high‑quality core photography and assist with geological data management.
• Support geological interpretation through accurate data collection and communication with senior geologists and exploration teams.

• Experience logging drill core in a mineral exploration, mining, or geotechnical environment.
• Comfort working with geological databases, digital logging systems, and field technology.
• A proactive, safety‑focused approach and ability to work effectively within a collaborative exploration team.
• Degree or diploma in Geology, Earth Sciences, Geological Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
