Troubleshooting, repairing and rebuilding crushers, SAG and ball mills, conveyors, belt feeders, hydraulic systems, pumps, and pipe fitting. Candidates must demonstrate an ability and desire to upgrade skills and knowledge using on-the-job experience as well as off-the-job studies, as needed. Candidates must be multi-tasked, including assisting maintenance technicians as required. Preserve personal safety and the safety of coworkers. Learn new things and teach others, so that we can improve as individuals and as a team.
Perform other functions as assigned by the supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect KGHM’s values.
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
- Be a role model to others in safe behavior.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Availability to work Crusher & Mill outages.
- Actively engage in learning the Crushing circuit.
- Work to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Assist Maintenance Technicians in identifying & remediating mechanical issues.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience in Mill Maintenance.
- Basic competency in personal computer operation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn new software.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize, self-start and work under limited supervision.
- Strong Mechanical abilities.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals and parts books.
- Ability to operate all shop tools and equipment.
- Ability to use atmospheric testing equipment (MX4).

- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
