Keyroom-Locksmith
Amentum is seeking a Keyroom - Locksmith to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Keyroom-Locksmith will issue and receive keys to all storage structures within the Hawthorne Army Depot, using an automated key issuing and receipt system in the security keyroom to include recording of all data associated with accountability and historical information. Keyroom-Locksmith will also install, repair, and adjust a wide range of locks and locking devices.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Note:
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Typical
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and maintain accurate records of locks and keys to include keyboards and lock locations.
- Operate an automated key issue and receipt system in the security key room to record data on the issuing and receiving of keys for strict accountability and historical information.
- Maintain inventory of all locks and keys, records of locks and keys issued, and duplicate keys identified to each lock location using the Check it Out key inventory program.
- Maintain adequate supply of parts and materials insure that correct keys are issued and returned at the end of the duty day.
- Visually check returned keys for damage.
- Perform daily key inventory to ascertain correct accountability of keys.
- Maintain strict accountability of all keys assigned to the security key room.
- Must understand, interpret and utilize AR 190-11 and AR 190-13, Physical Security Requirements, categorization chart for AA & E and other munitions and ICIDS alarm system.
- Perform Locksmith duties to include cutting, drilling, fitting, aligning, and picking of various types of locks.
- Installs, maintains, and performs combination changes on all combination type locks.
- Performs preventive maintenance duties, as assigned, to include repair locks by straightening, aligning, filing, parts replacement, and refinishing.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
- Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
- Reads and understands Task Hazard Analysis for identifying risks to health and safety during job specific tasks in the work place.
- Performs other duties of the same or lower level of difficulty as assigned.
- May be assigned occasional duties of a higher level of difficulty than those listed above.
- Responsible for reporting potential real environmental concerns to the Environmental Service.
- Follow Safety Data Sheet guidelines for handling, storage, and disposal of Hazardous Materials.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory and/or locksmith trades.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a High School diploma/equivalent.
- Computer literate in software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
- Willing to be at work when scheduled, maintain a good attendance record, and have the ability to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.
- Willing and able to work in a procedurally compliant environment.
- Good writing and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. Perform safety sensitive duties.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications as required by the Master Training Plan.
- Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and pass an MVR check with a clean record.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Private Investigators License Board (PILB) clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Note:
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Key room experience or related experience is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and Common Access Card.
- Certifiable technical or trade school training as a Locksmith highly desirable.
