Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Process Mechanic typically works 4 ten‑hour shifts, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday–Thursday. The mechanic assists with maintaining equipment and ensures all backlog work is completed in a timely manner to avoid major equipment downtime through planned maintenance scheduling. Planned maintenance includes monitoring equipment; communicating equipment needs and issues; and providing both tactical and strategic support for the Process Department to operate in an effective, efficient and safe manner.

• Lead by example in all safety processes, ensuring safe practices are used while performing work.
• Use a computer‑based work order system to maintain fixed equipment and crushing plant, including preventative maintenance and component replacement.
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance strategy, fully utilizing available workforce to achieve maximum equipment availability.
• Perform work area inspections, determine if work areas are safe and free of hazards, and conduct field‑level risk assessments.
• Complete repair and rebuild of processing equipment in the plant and crusher area, including pumps, piping and vessels, through preventative and predictive maintenance routes, area cleanup, and equipment rebuild.
• Interpret information from schematics, maintenance and parts manuals.
• Troubleshoot and repair all pumps, primary crushers, cone crushers, and conveyor systems; fabricate and weld as needed.
• Troubleshoot and rebuild gearboxes, pumps (centrifugal and positive displacement preferred), and replace major components in a timely manner.
• Order parts for procurement from the warehouse or supplier.
• Ensure compliance with company contamination control policies, reporting and mitigating spills and other environmental impacts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong communication skills in English across all business communication formats.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Clear understanding and willingness to observe and practice company SOPs and policies.
• Strong understanding of safety policies and procedures related to fixed plant/crushing equipment and maintenance practices, including guarding, blocking, lockout‑tagout.
• Excellent safety and attendance record.
• Own and maintain required personal tools.

Minimum 2 years of fixed plant and/or crusher maintenance experience. Fabrication and welding skills preferred.
