Position will diagnose and repair diesel truck &/or heavy equipment.

• Analyzing and diagnosing (troubleshooting) equipment malfunctions or failures.
• Repairing, replacing and/or rebuilding engines, transmissions, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components, electrical systems and air systems.
• Determining correct parts needed to complete the task and ordering them in a timely manner from the Parts Department, as well as returning all unused parts promptly.
• Maintaining a driving record in accordance with state laws.
• Communicating in a courteous and effective manner with customers regarding all aspects of the work being performed.
• Reassembling machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments as necessary.

Must be assertive, a self-starter, and able to work without direct supervision. Must have a driver’s license with a clean driving record. This position requires frequent periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, grasping, reaching, pulling/pushing objects, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive movements.

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Diesel/Equipment Technician: 2 years (Preferred)
• Prior Experience Required

• Must have Driver’s License.
