Lifeguard – Aquarius (Laughlin, NV)
DescriptionGeneral
Summary:
Assist guests in the proper use of pool facilities and equipment. Monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and to provide a safe and healthy aquatic environment for hotel guests. Maintain cleanliness of pool deck area and provide excellent guest service. Handle any emergencies as appropriate.
- Maintains supervision of the pool, ensuring the safety of the pool area.
- Appropriately addresses any issues, concerns or rule violations with guests.
- Recognizes and responds effectively to all emergencies.
- Enforces all facility rules and regulations.
- Maintains a clean and attractive pool environment.
- Reports any unsafe conditions to the pool manager or lead lifeguard.
- Performs on poolside stage with games and activities for guests.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
- Provides outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- One to three months of related experience or training preferred.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
- Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all cards required by the company.
- Must be able to verify right to work in the U.S.
– Physical Requirements
- Frequently walk, stand or stoop (over 75% of the time).
- Ability to walk and/or run on slippery surfaces (over 75% of the time).
- Regularly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (50% of the time).
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Speech, hearing, literacy, and vision (critical).
- Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels and extreme weather conditions (over 75% of the time).
- CPR and First-Aid certification
- Lifeguard certification
