Pay Range: $15.40 - $23.60
PurposeThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store and supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators. The role supports the Receiving Supervisor in managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.
Major Responsibilities- Daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving operations.
- Direct day‑to‑day warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
- Manage storage buy transactions, handle receiving errors, and stage products.
- Maintenance of warehouse equipment and communicate necessary repairs.
- Implement warehouse safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Ensure associates are trained and follow standard operating procedures.
- Execute progressive disciplinary process and handle employee inquiries.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
- Complete necessary activity reports for management and monitor paperwork flow.
- Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
- Execute Storage Buy Audit COP and ensure products are staged for counting and inspection.
- Ensure products are stored properly, conserve space, and comply with safety procedures.
- Oversee inventory rotation within the warehouse.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- 1‑3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating, and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with other departments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Competent basic mathematical calculations.
- Proficient computer skills with Windows‑based systems.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Availability to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
The role is located in a warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels. The employee frequently moves vehicles and heavy items.
Physical/Sensory Requirements- Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
- Stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
