S&M is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Geotechnical team in New Albany, Indiana. • Geotechnical Analysis & Design: Perform and oversee advanced evaluations related to foundations, settlement, slope stability, and earth support systems, and recommend appropriate ground improvement or mitigation methods.

  Partner with clients, contractors, and internal teams to support successful project execution while providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior staff.
• Reporting & Proposal Development: Produce clear, well‑organized technical reports, contribute to project proposals, and support marketing and relationship‑building activities.
• Leadership & Quality Focus: Promote best practices by maintaining compliance with company standards, emphasizing safety, risk management, schedule adherence, and quality control throughout all phases of work.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Mining, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the A/E/C industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
