- Design, evaluate, and maintain electrical systems including power distribution, backup power, and control systems.
- Lead and support preventative and corrective maintenance efforts for critical electrical infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support capital projects, system upgrades, and operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation – schematics, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Provide engineering support for root‑cause analysis, system optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovations that enhance performance and efficiency.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA
70E). - Experience with power systems, including low‑ and medium‑voltage distribution, UPS systems, and generators.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and software (AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on safety and reliability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
- PE certification.
- Experience with power systems, including low‑ and medium‑voltage distribution, UPS systems, and generators.
