Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Commissioning and Startup (CSU) Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning and startup activities for complex control systems, instrumentation, automation systems, and associated process equipment throughout a large semiconductor manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership during system turnover, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and performance testing. They will work closely with engineering, construction, subcontractors, equipment vendors, operations personnel, and client representatives to ensure systems are installed correctly, operate as designed, and are turned over safely and in accordance with project requirements.

The successful candidate is expected to independently lead commissioning activities for assigned systems, mentor junior engineers, resolve complex technical issues, and drive successful project execution while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
