Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team of data center technicians, providing guidance, training, and support
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and storage systems
- Monitor data center performance, ensuring uptime and reliability of all systems
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs
- Manage rack and stack operations, cabling, and labeling standards
- Coordinate with network, systems, and security teams to resolve incidents
- Ensure compliance with data center best practices, safety protocols, and documentation standards
- Maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and tools
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades
- Respond to incidents, outages, and on‑call emergencies as needed
- 3+ years of experience in a data center or similar technical environment
- Proven experience working with servers, networking hardware, and structured cabling
- Strong understanding of data center operations, including power, cooling, and redundancy
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, switching, routing fundamentals)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant vendor certifications
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Work in a data center environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
- May require shift work, weekends, or on‑call availability
