Manager, Inventory Control - 102727 |
Time Type: Full Time
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for monitoring and reporting on inventory levels per Service Level Agreement with our clients. The role manages inventory tracking systems, reviews supply levels, and partners with operations to improve inventory measures through daily analysis.
Responsibilities- Maintain inventory data integrity and track accuracy of inventory.
- Research root cause of inventory discrepancies using data extraction and supplier inventory data.
- Evaluate data and metrics to improve inventory control and operational procedures.
- Design, implement, test internal controls, documentation, reporting, training, systems, and solutions to drive inventory accuracy.
- Establish partnership with clients and operations to build inventory accuracy.
- Develop and maintain cycle count activities/annual count by leading counting activities, variance reporting, and reconciling counting cycles.
- Challenge the status quo by developing and recommending modifications to existing processes and methodologies with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Develop, manage, and implement weekly analysis reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures and practices.
- Supervise all direct and indirect staff.

Scope of Knowledge, Work & ExperienceLeads by applying advanced knowledge in the discipline and addressing a broad business perspective; prior supervisory experience required.
Decision Making & ImpactIndependent day‑to‑day decision making related to schedules and daily operations, aligning with functional procedures; provides input to senior leadership for budgetary purposes, policy proposals, and operational efficiencies.
Leadership & AutonomyFailure to achieve goals results in additional costs and delays in overall schedules.
Complexity & Problem SolvingFrequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and functional peer managers; may interact with senior management on matters between functional areas, company divisions, or customers.
Skills and CompetenciesManagement position:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills required. Prefer 3‑5 years of related supervisory or management experience. Experience with inventory management software, forecasting, and communication with all levels of internal and external customers preferred. Product and inventory management certification is a plus.
