POSITION OVERVIEWAssists the Director of Nursing to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the schedule for all nursing service department employees. Schedules nursing employees in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the health center while meeting customer service needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Creates the campus’ 4‑week Master set schedule and posts schedule in accordance with the Campus Hourly Scheduling policy.
- Makes staffing adjustments as needed according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, calls‑offs, and pre‑planned leave.
- Manages, supports, and coordinates employees’ PTO requests, holiday rotations, and shift trades.
- Generates all required postings such as BIPA, daily assignment sheets, and monthly schedules.
- Manages nursing hours (PPD) and ensures proper staff ratio to census.
- Manages Time and Attendance, including Attendance points, buy‑backs, and shift pick‑up incentives.
- Utilizes Smartlinx’s functionality to post open shifts, fill open shifts, and send employee messages.
- Meets each new employee to review their schedule, ask what needs they have, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Provides direct patient care as needed based on the scope of your license or certification.
- High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Current valid state CNA, QMA, LPN, or RN credential required. Non‑clinical candidates will be considered with the appropriate level of experience.
Compensation will be determined based on the relevant license or certification held, as well as the candidate’s years of experience.
