Position Summary

Infusion Registered Nurse for an oncology center in Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. The nurse provides both direct and indirect nursing care for ambulatory oncology patients, acting as caregiver, educator, clinical service coordinator, and research nurse. The role involves multimodal nursing practice—including medical, surgical, and radiotherapy—as well as maintaining compliance with COLA, OSHA, and CLIA for laboratory services. Nursing staff also handle specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of results.

• Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory oncology setting.
• Educate patients and families regarding cancer treatment and infusion protocols.
• Coordinate clinical services and facilitate communication among the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in clinical research activities related to oncology care.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (COLA, OSHA, CLIA).
• Process specimens, perform tests, and report results in accordance with laboratory policies.

• Minimum associate degree in Nursing from an accredited two‑year college or technical school.
• Current Indiana RN license.
• Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Oncology nurse certification highly encouraged and supported.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from an AHA‑approved provider with a skill check required upon hire.
