Job DescriptionBaptist Health Floyd, Women's Health Services – Part‑time (12 hours weekly), days (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.)
Job DutiesResponsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This entry‑level leadership nursing position coordinates care on designated shifts, provides leadership to staff in the area of patient care, works alongside the team to provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, addressing immediate staff issues, and coordinating patient flow. The Charge Nurse has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.
Aboutthe Department
Women’s Health Services is located on the same floor as the Labor and Delivery unit and is a 19‑bed unit utilizing a couplet care model following AWHONN staffing guidelines. The unit also cares for female post‑operative patients who have recently undergone gynecological or bariatric procedures.
Qualifications- Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
- Current Indiana or compact state RN License.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
- NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
- S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- Low Risk Neonatal Nursing RNC‑LRN required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- One year of nursing experience required; one year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
- Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.
