Summary
Job Title: Nursing Assistant Unit Secretary – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (Part–Time, 24 hours weekly, Nights 7pm–7am).
Location: 1850 State Street, New Albany, IN 47150, 10 minutes from downtown Louisville.
The Nursing Assistant Unit Secretary functions as an on‑shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non‑patient care unit maintenance tasks.
About the UnitThe Cardiovascular ICU (CVU) specializes in the care of open‑heart surgery patients and also cares for general ICU patients, complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices such as intra‑aortic balloon pumps and Impella pumps, and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest. The unit provides expert cardiac care and uses a universal bed concept to support patient care from pre‑operative teaching to open‑heart recovery, cardiac ICU care, and discharge teaching.
Qualifications- BLS certification from an approved BLS course required (training will be provided).
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
