Position Title: Quality Control Lead
Business Unit: Fabrication & ECoat
Location: New Albany, IN
Reports To: Parker Huncilman, Managing Partner

The Quality Control Lead will ensure that team members follow quality assurance standards and procedures established by Nix.
Our ideal candidate will- Work independently of all other departments to maintain the quality of production
- Perform routine and specific quality checks on jobs within the fabrication and E-coat business units
- Document quality issues and provide solutions
- Organize and document incoming and outgoing freight
- Take responsibility for quality control on all subcontracted, fabrication, and E-coat work
- Assist the Operations Managers and Shop Foreman with quality and continuous improvements
- Assist in ISO 9001 annual certification
- Minimize rework through proper quality controls and zero warranties
- Contact outside inspection agencies when necessary
- Be responsible for the maintenance of essential Quality Control records and files
- Uphold All Company Quality Requirements And Management System
- Ensure all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading-by-example and create an environment of trust and teamwork
- Participate in all requested job-related training and development, as well as take an active interest in improving their skills with other training programs
- Follow all company and common sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Welding/Fabrication certifications (SMAW, TIG, MIG) desired but not required
- Blueprint reading
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
- Strong organizational skills
