Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on all production and operating equipment.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing issues with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, bearings, and other machinery.
3. Operating a forklift to move heavy equipment and materials as needed.
4. Utilizing your knowledge of machines and tools to diagnose problems and determine the best course of action for repairs.
5. Working closely with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
6. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
7. Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including any parts or materials used.
8. Assisting in the training of new maintenance staff and operators on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Maintenance Technician position, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, motors, bearings, and other industrial equipment.
3. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
4. Experience operating a forklift and other heavy machinery.
5. Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and equipment.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
7. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective coordination with team members.
8. A commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
9. A high school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is considered an asset.
