Maintenance Trainee

Location: Louisville, KY / Southern Indiana
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | Monday–Friday | Normal Business Hours
Pay: $20–22 per hour
Reports To: Director of Maintenance

Whether you're a recent diesel technology graduate or have some hands‑on automotive or mechanical experience, you'll receive hands‑on training from experienced professionals while developing valuable skills in a fast‑paced transportation environment.

• Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and lubrication.
• Assist with truck and trailer repairs, including brakes, cooling systems, and basic electrical work.
• Conduct safety inspections to help ensure our fleet remains DOT compliant and road‑ready.
• Learn diagnostic and repair techniques using industry‑standard tools and equipment.
• Track maintenance activities, complete documentation, and assist with maintenance scheduling and compliance.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in diesel or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance is a plus, but not required.
