Job Summary

The Real Time Operations Security Specialist Principal is responsible for the development and execution of security strategies for operational technology systems. This role involves guiding a team of security professionals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and mentoring junior staff. This position also collaborates with executive leadership to align security strategies with business objectives.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and implement comprehensive OT security policies and frameworks.
  • Manage the work across a team and mentor junior staff.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align security strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead complex security projects, initiatives, and incidents, directing security assignments.
  • Own and maintain multiple advanced complexity security assignments concurrently.
  • Promote adherence to enterprise security policies, goals, and enabling characteristics.
  • Communicate technical and non-technical ideas clearly in activities and presentations.
  • Identify, clarify, resolve, and initiate solutions to complex security problems that require specialized knowledge.
  • Coach team members to keep the enterprise focal point for all security activities.
  • Consider alternative courses of action and select best options per intended security posture.
  • Plan, organize, distribute workload, and set stretching objectives for self and/or others.
  • Guide others to understand the impact of security and business decisions and demonstrate awareness of key security trends.
  • Specific tasks include vulnerability management, patch management, AD administration, anti-virus and endpoint security, firewall ACL management, encryption and certificate management, security logging and alerting, and access/password management.
  • Complete all tasks considering risk and impact on SCADA/EMS and Bulk Electric System.
What We’re Looking For

Education
:
Minimum of an Associate’s degree in an applicable area or equivalent education and experience of a high school diploma/GED plus two (2) years of relevant experience, or certification in an applicable area. Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.

Experience
:
At least eight (8) years of domain experience in a related role, including at least seven (7) years in cyber security with significant OT security experience.

Licenses/Certifications
:
Advanced certification (CISSP, CISM, or similar) strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements
  • Proven leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex efforts.
  • In-depth understanding of real-time operations considerations such as redundancy/availability/isolation, conservative operation maintenance and patching strategies, real-time monitoring, and system downtime limitations for Bulk Electric System risk, and comprehensive understanding of SCADA, EMS, and related systems.
  • Overtime, on-call assignments, and occasional travel may be required.

New Albany OH, Corpus Christi TX, Roanoke VA, Shreveport LA.

What You’ll Get

Salary Range
: $116,255 – $151,132.
