Job

Overview

The Data Center Office Assistant role will work very closely with, and support, the Data Center team to ensure tasks of day‑to‑day operational needs are met.

Essential Functions (Examples but not limited to)
  • General administrative/office support including day‑to‑day tactical duties
  • Provide support as needed for visitors (internal and external)
  • PPE coordination, etc.
  • Event support as needed (internal and external)
  • Parties, off sites, all hands, team builders and social hours
  • Duties could include set up, scheduling, comms, etc.
  • Support with packaging and distribution of swag/branded items as needed
  • Assist with maintenance of non‑confidential site documentation
  • Email distribution lists, announcement dashboards, contact lists, etc.
  • Support local space planning efforts
  • Set up, moves, configuration changes, etc.
  • Perform regular audits of all buildings and work with partner teams to address issues of note.
  • Broken furniture, cleanliness issues, artwork, conference room office supplies, etc.
  • Tactical support of site‑specific projects as directed by the team
  • New building turnover, break/fix furniture, microkitchen equipment, game room equipment maintenance, furniture inventory, building refresh, etc.
  • Support site communication as needed.
  • Monthly newsletter, event promotion, announcements, etc.
  • Conference room naming and decorating
  • First Day of Business (FDOB)/Day 1 Readiness (D1R) support
  • Locker assignments
  • Microkitchen prep and coordination
  • Desk setup for new hires
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills Required
  • 4+ years of office management/employee experience, or equivalent.
  • Highly efficient in G‑Suite and MS Outlook.
  • Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate (written and orally) in English.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and have a high‑level attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to plan and organize work to function independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Self‑motivated; adaptable to a dynamic environment.
Knowledge Skills Preferred
  • Event planning experience.
  • Experience using Facebook groups.
Special

Physical Requirements
  • The position involves active, on‑site responsibilities that may include walking, standing, and other physical tasks throughout the workday.
Valid Driver's License
  • Valid driver’s license and availability to use personal vehicle for errands and events as needed.
