In this role, you will assist in providing professional financial and economic support services reporting to the Billing Supervisor. The Project Billing Specialist will perform contractual invoicing for Project Cardinal. This position will ensure that financial controls and procedures are in place and that the project complies with Bechtel polocies and contractual, commercial requirements.

• Primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a complete and thorough understanding of the financial requirements of the prime contract.
  • Ongoing review of unbilled cost transactions, unit rate transactions and account reconciliations to ensure that all costs are billed timely, that any held items are addressed promptly, and that all transactions are properly categorized per the contract billing terms.
  • Coordination with the Service Center Billing Organization to ensure quality and timely client billing delivery.
  • Coordination with Project Management, Project Controls and other project organizations impacting the Billing process.
  • Coordination with other Project Finance Team members, especially related to billing of Supplier and Subcontract invoices to the client.
  • Implementation and ongoing improvement of billing controls and processes, ensuring compliance and meeting deadlines.
  • Additional duties may be assigned on an as required basis.

Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience

• Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in Billing roles.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, concepts and terminology
  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must have the legal right to work in US without sponsorship

• Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Financials
  • Above average communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Good initiative and ability to work independently while functioning effectively with a team environment
  • Good business judgment in execution of assigned work and in understanding when issues need to be escalated for resolution
