Safety Site Manager

Description

The Waldinger Company has an opportunity for a qualified Safety Site Manager I in our New Albany, OH Office.

Responsible for administering an effective safety program for specifically assigned projects, which results in an overall reduction in frequency and severity of accidents and injuries, and the associated costs. Designated to particular large or complex projects, in order to provide job‑specific safety support. Enforces current safety policies and procedures.

• Jobsite Inspections:
  Conducts regular jobsite safety inspections for a designated large or complex project. Communicates a written summary of findings to the appropriate parties, both internally and to other contractors on site.
• Safety Training:
  Assists in the preparation of and presents appropriate safety training to team members and managers based on safety needs. In addition, conducts new hire safety orientations and facilitates the project-specific onboarding process.
• Accident Investigation:
  Works with team members to ensure site treatment and accident investigation protocols are followed in case of an incident on site for designated project.
• Pre-task Safety Meetings:
  For assigned project, assists with pre-task safety meetings, facilitating managers to ensure all known and potential hazards are addressed.

• 3-5 years of site safety experience or 7-10 years construction field experience. Experience working on large or complex projects preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in a safety program or related field or equivalent field experience.
• CSP, ASP, CHST, OSHA-30, or OSHA-500 required.
