CTL Engineering is hiring Assistant Project Managers for Construction Services (water treatment/water delivery/wastewater projects).
- Construction Management or Civil Engineering degrees and experienced Field Engineers are encouraged to apply!
- This role will be based out of the New Albany office in northeast Columbus with the water/wastewater-related projects in/around the central Ohio region up to Cleveland (@2 hr radius from the office).
- This role will focus on:
- project management
- field work/inspection
- construction management and administration
- client-facing
- technical overview (there is little to no design in this role)

We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Managers to join our dynamic Team where you will oversee and ensure the successful completion of water treatment & water delivery construction projects.

Responsibilities- Performs a variety of tasks such as research, testing, problem solution, construction management/administration of W/WW projects.
- Participate in field visits and inspections as required.
- Serve as a representative of the firm at all required meetings, leading client coordination throughout the construction process.
- Conduct and document field observations for construction activities performed by the contractor(s) for water treatment and water delivery construction projects.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and related codes and standards.
- Ensure construction work conforms to design documents, approved submittals, regional standards, local codes and best construction practices while adhering to schedule/timeline and budget aspects.
- Identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
- Communicate deficiencies to management/proper personnel.
- Communicate and coordinate with construction contractors, municipal and private property owners in a cooperative, productive manner to overcome challenges while serving the best interest of the client.
- Monitor the progress of construction activities and provide guidance to contractors to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Discuss plans, specifications and work schedules with Project Manager and Engineers, contractors, utility companies and other governmental agencies.
- Perform project administration duties such as preparing monthly pay applications and change orders for presentation to the client.
- Assist other project management staff with identifying problems and developing viable solutions for consideration.
- Communicate and enforce construction quality standards.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Review contractor submittals for compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in the resolution of construction-related disputes or claims.
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Targeting 3+ years of applicable/related experience.
- Previous W/WW construction inspection/project experience is preferred but not required.
