Velocity Safety Advisors is looking for a Construction Safety Coordinator who is passionate about creating a safe, secure jobsite for every team member. In this role, you will help maintain safe conditions for people and property, support incident investigations, and assist with emergency response. This position is based on jobsites in New Albany, Ohio and the surrounding area.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the General Contractor and trade partners
• Help collect safety records following training sessions
• Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses
• Review and sign daily paperwork to confirm proper hazard identification and mitigation assessments
• Monitor large construction sites and help ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations
• Complete audits and daily reports that outline activities, findings, and issues
• Stay current on safety policies, trends, and evolving standards as new risks are identified
• Participate in all jobsite safety meetings

What We’re Looking For

• Required:
  
  At least 2 years of safety experience in construction, OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site, OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completion of an apprenticeship program)
• Required:
  
  First Aid/CPR certification
• Required:
  
  Completion of the OSHA 30-hour construction training course
• Preferred: A safety credential through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (for example, CHST), or active progress toward certification
• Preferred:
  Experience in electrical construction
