Educational Assistant; Student; s Special Needs

Position: Educational Assistant (Working With Student(s) With Special Needs)
7 hours per day

186 days per year

Starting salary $21.08 per hour

Salary based on experience and educational level on OAPSE Salary Schedule

* Must hold valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit or be able to obtain one

* Experience working with students in small group, resource and/or inclusion settings preferred

* Experience in working with students with Autism or behavioral disorders is preferred

* Must be willing to work independently to support the daily instructional and medically related needs of a special needs student one-on-one, as required

* Must be willing to work collaboratively with teachers to provide support services to students

* Have the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents

* Must have the full support of the Building Principal, Director/Assistant Director of Special Education, and Assistant Superintendent
