Responsibilities- Conduct regular field safety inspections and/or more formal audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Must be able and willing to engage negative behavior and/or conditions to complete resolution.
- Investigate accidents and incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that safety is a top priority on the site.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents and activities – entering the approved data software for advancement and/or data retention.
- Be capable of working with multiple subcontractors and their respective safety representatives.
- Ability to work extended work hours during the week and/or possibly weekend (over 40).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety.
- NFPA 70E certification. Background in electrical safety knowledge and/or experience required (ex. LOTO).
- Background in fall protection safety and PPE required (ex. JSA/fall protection planning, PPE inspection/evaluations).
- OSHA 510 & 30 - Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
- CHST certification is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with building data centers is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and more collaboratively, as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant safety data analysis/retention software.
- Knowledge and experience working with lower tier subcontract documents and requirements thereof.
