Job Summary
In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution.
Major Responsibilities- Coordinate cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs for projects.
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.
- Identify schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter‑discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
- Monitor and report critical path and schedule performance of the total project.
- Conduct project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities. Collect and analyze alternatives for schedule improvement.
- Coordinate cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards.
- Coordinate the development and accuracy of cost reports.
- Prepare specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of a detailed project risk register through ongoing reviews to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness, including facilitation support during risk workshops, risk identification sessions, and other risk‑related activities.
- Deliver training sessions and facilitate workshops.
- Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5‑8 years of relevant experience, or 9‑12 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems driven by data.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Advanced proficiency with Project Controls operating systems, including Primavera 6 and Microsoft Office applications.
- Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
