Project OverviewBechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. The project partners with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and works with local education organizations to implement training programs that will support the future talent pipeline.
Job SummaryIn this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling support to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis, integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities- Coordinate cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects.
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.
- Identify schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter‑discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
- Monitor and report critical path and schedule performance of the total project.
- Conduct project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities; collect and analyze alternatives for schedule improvement.
- Coordinate cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards.
- Coordinate development and accuracy of cost reports.
- Prepare specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of detailed project risk register through ongoing reviews to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness, including facilitation support during risk workshops and related activities.
- Deliver training sessions and facilitate workshops.
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis.
- Skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving data‑driven problems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Project Controls operating systems, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office applications.
- Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes as performed by Bechtel.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management acquired through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities.
