# Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will assist in interpreting and integrating health and safety requirements into project planning, design, construction, and operations. You will provide input and technical guidance, assist with communications, track performance trends, and conduct inspections and monitoring. Your work will help keep employees safe by contributing to continuous improvement of project health and safety. #LI-ME1

# Major Responsibilities:

+ Supports execution of the safety component of an ESH Program inclusive of technical and administrative aspects.

+ Supports development and implementation of Safety and Health Management Plans, associated safety plans and procedures, and training program.

+ Assists the integration of safety and health requirements into planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operations.

+ Provides guidance on routine safety and health requirements and related tasks for program execution.

+ Helps research issues and regulatory requirements and prepare documentation and reports.

+ Provides assistance for safety studies, risk assessments, and other safety and health reviews.

+ Participates in emergency response and aids incident investigation and resolution.

+ Assists in identifying stakeholders and resolving their concerns.

+ Participates in meetings with customers, team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

+ Conducts ESH inspections and monitoring to help identify hazards and risks, confirm the effectiveness of controls, and assess compliance with contract, regulatory, project, and Bechtel requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements:

+ Requires a Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) related to occupational safety or health and less than 1 year of relevant experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience

# Required Knowledge and

Skills:

+ Ability to research, interpret, and apply regulatory and organizational requirements (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).

+ Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and report preparation.

+ Analytical skills related to sampling, monitoring, and recordkeeping. Ability to conduct field inspections, program audits, and manage corrective actions through completion.
