# Project Overview:
Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. Bechtel will design and build Phase 1 of the Ohio One project, a total of 2.5 million square feet, including 600,000 square feet of clean rooms. Construction will require as much steel as eight Eiffel Towers and as much concrete as the tallest skyscrapers. Bechtel will strengthen future economic development in the region by partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide engineering assistance to superintendents, direct assigned personnel in meeting cost and time schedules, verify materials, equipment, and quality. You will be responsible for ensurting that the overall build meets the specifications and design drawings.

# Major Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the activities assigned, such as the application of drawings, specifications, inspections, quality verification, and subcontracts.
+ Preparation of quantity listings of field purchased material and equipment.
+ Initiates requisitions for field purchases as needed.
+ Review of construction drawings and schedules; verifies design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.
+ Assists fellow construction engineers and superintendents in: interpreting design drawings, monitoring equipment installation and planning for delivery of construction materials and equipment and assuring that proper warehousing and storage exists to ensure environmental protection.
+ Reviews specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals and technical data.
+ Coordinates with engineering design on constructability issues.
+ Supervises subcontractor work efforts and administers routine subcontract changes and interfaces with client personnel.
+ Reviews, as assigned, the preparation of construction estimates, cost engineering studies, schedules, and budgets.
+ Analyzes assigned construction activities to determine the scope, time, and resource requirements.
+ Ensures that vendors' bids for material and equipment are in conformance to specifications.
+ Works with various functions to ensure the project achieves corporate goals set for environmental, safety & health, quality, cost, and schedule.

Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires a University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience or Associate's and 2-4 years of related experience
# Required Knowledge and
Skills:
+ Technical knowledge of the electrical engineering discipline.
+ Basic knowledge of cost, scheduling and/or contracts administration relating to the construction of heavy industrial or commercial complexes.
+ Efficiency in working in digital systems and programs.
+ Willingness to learn new processes and new systems.
+ Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
