Responsibilities
- Ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems.
- Apply technical expertise to support day‑to‑day operations and long‑term infrastructure planning.
- Design, evaluate, and maintain electrical systems including power distribution, backup power, and control systems.
- Lead and support preventative and corrective maintenance efforts for critical electrical infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support capital projects, system upgrades, and operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Provide engineering support for root‑cause analysis, system optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovations that enhance performance and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the natural gas or petrochemical industry; PE certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E).
- Experience with power systems, including low and medium voltage distribution, UPS systems, and generators.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on safety and reliability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Demonstrates expertise in electrical engineering with a focus on system reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Proficient in designing, maintaining, and optimizing electrical systems while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
