# Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets.

Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.  LI-CL1

# Major Responsibilities:

+ Manages the organization and direction of construction personel in the civil function.

+ Manages area expenditures for labor equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within the budget.

+ Ensures development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.

+ Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications

+ Monitors and directs direct hires/subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractors' management staff within the area of responsibility.

# Planning:

+ Reviews and monitors construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.

+ Reviews and approves where necessary, construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.

+ Leads the civil-structural construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.

+ Reviews the project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.

+ Participates in the preparation / review of field change documents and requests for information.

+ Supports Contracts with the verification of change notices and amendments.

+ Ensures work methods planned and executed safely.

+ Proactively involved in continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.

+ Supports civil-structural Advance Work Packaging (AWP) efforts

+ Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors

** Safety/Quality:*
* + Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

+ Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.

+ Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.

# Technical:

+ Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.

+ Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.

+ Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
