Project Overview:Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets.

Job Summary:The Lead Electrical Commissioning and Startup (CSU) Engineer is responsible for the technical direction and oversight during the start-up, testing, verification, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems including multi-train and redundant medium voltage power distribution systems, meter and relay testing, lighting systems, grounding and bonding systems, switch gear, switchboards, panel boards, MCC’s, UPS systems, transfer switches, and process control and monitoring systems related to electrical infrastructure in a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
In this role you will plan, schedule, and execute commissioning activities from construction completion through system handover to operations, ensuring work is performed safely and on schedule. The role ensures electrical systems are installed correctly, meet design requirements, adhere to NEC/NFPA standards, operate safely, and are ready for operations. This position works closely with engineering, construction, vendors, subcontractors, and operations teams to verify electrical systems meet all requirements.
