The Global Network Delivery organization is looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Network Deployment Tech to join our growing Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Operations. The team responsibilities involve scoping and planning interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across several data center locations. They will review project forecasts and assure physical infrastructure resources are available for their execution.

• Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Familiarity with common networking terms.
• Excellent judgement and analytical skills; ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs.
• Strong prioritization and time management ability.
• Coordination of design, project timeline/schedule and construction milestones.
• Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management. Must be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure.

• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in computer networking
• Experience working with Linux operating systems
  
  Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair

• Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $55,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $125,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
